Celebrating the life of a loved one while at the
same time honestly grieving the loss of that person can be a draining experience. We hope to
help you through this time by helping to plan a ritual that reflects the dearly departed, the
family and friends and at the same time is celebrated according to the modern Roman Rite. While
there are definitely “dos and don’ts” in the liturgy, there is also a great deal of genuine
flexibility.
Some families come with very specific ideas, while others may simply feel too overwhelmed to
take much of an active role in the planning. We are willing to fill in the gaps as needed, while
also creating as many easy ways to include the family in tailoring the ritual without a taxing
amount of effort. Some people may even wish to be involved in the planning of their own funeral
ahead of time. All of these options are possible.
When the time comes, simply give us a call at (303) 756-3083, and ask for either Tony Haas (who
directs, plans and designs our worship here at Most Precious Blood) or Fr. Pat. It is our wish
that together we create a service that reflects the joy of the life that has been lived, the
sadness of the loss that is being experienced in the moment and the hope of healing to come.
