Youth Ministry

The mission of the Youth Ministry program at Most Precious Blood is to promote growth and to engage youth in a continuous faith experience of Church. Our hope is to have youth present and integrated into the life of the parish community.

Youth group meetings are the foundation of this program. These gatherings will offer a Christian setting for our youth to meet, discuss relevant issues, learn more about living out our Christian faith, socialize, build friendships, and have fun. In these meetings we will plan different activities and discussions throughout the year. The Youth Ministry program is open to 7th-12th graders. The Senior High Youth Group consists of 9th-12th graders and will meet Sunday evenings from 6:00-8:30 in the youth room in the basement of the parish office building . The Junior High consists of 7th & 8th graders; please watch the bulletin for gathering times for this group.

Spiritual Formation / Religious Education - Youth are offered ways of developing a close relationship with Jesus Christ. They are given the opportunity to study the faith of the Catholic Church; it's history, the sacraments, the liturgy, signs and symbols. Youth are also encouraged to participate in retreats, prayer services and other faith activities. Youth bible studies and prayer groups will be offered as the need arises.

Outreach/Service/Social Awareness - Through baptism we are all called to live out the Gospel in our daily lives. Youth are challenged to live out this baptismal call through outreach projects and community service. Youth will be encouraged to take advantage of the many opportunities our parish and the Denver community offers. These service opportunities provide an environment for youth and adults of our parish to work together toward making our community better while raising awareness about social issues and conditions.

Social Opportunities - The Youth will have the opportunity to come together as a community in order to make new friends, fellowship, and celebrate life. These social activities range from an open gym night to hiking in the mountains to attending rallies, dances, plays, and concerts. There will also be the opportunity to attend Archdiocese wide events where youth can meet their peers from across the archdiocese. The youth group experience is one where building community and being comfortable with one another is key to our success and growth.

Please refer to parish publications for ongoing information and upcoming events and opportunities. Newsletters including a calendar will be inserted into the bulletins on a monthly basis. The youth program at MPB cannot thrive without the support and commitment of parents and adult volunteers. Please contact the MPB Office if you wish to share in this ministry.
