Adult Music Ministry

The adult music ministry is a multi-generational community of musicians ages 13-80. We have many levels of experience involved from professional musicians to those who find they just love to sing. MPB is blessed with a wide variety of instrumentation including vocals, piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass, mandolin, violin, flute, french horn, trumpet, percussion, and drum set. We are about 70 members strong, and new members of any voice part or instrument are always welcome.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Vocalists should be able to match pitch and instrumentalists should be proficient on their instruments. All musicians must attend rehearsals and keep an organized music binder.

REHEARSAL AND MASS SCHEDULES

September through May Rehearsals:

Mondays 7:30-9:00p.m.

All musicians rehearse together on Monday nights regardless of which Mass they might attend. All 4 weekend Masses use the same music schedule and the musicians may assist at any of these Masses based on their preference, need or schedule. This encourages a cohesive community that provides all Masses with a full ensemble of musicians and consistent and varied music. It also provides great flexibility and allows us to easily combine for special liturgies.
