Share The Care Program

ABOUT
The Share the Care Program will be forming at Most Precious Blood and is based upon the successful group caring model which trains people how to organize to care for someone who is temporarily, chronically, progressively or terminally ill, or has some physical limitations. It aims to bring relief situations where the primary caregiver, often the spouse or grown children, is overwhelmed with the care requirements of their loved one. Trained facilitators of the program, which will be volunteers from our MPB parish, will be forming and organizing a community team to provide whatever help is needed. They will tap into the care receiver's own network of family, friends, neighbors and parish volunteers. There is a remarkable internet site system that accompanies the program that works to keep a calendar of needs and tracks who is meeting those needs. The Share the Care model offers a simple, yet effective solution to creating a powerful care giving team who will share responsibilities so that no one person will have too much to do.
