MAP's Testing

MEASURES OF ACADEMIC PROGRESS (MAP) TESTS Twice per year, in the fall and in the spring, MPB has all students take MAP tests in math, language arts and reading. These criterion-referenced tests measure progress for individual children and are a useful tool for classroom teachers and learning services staff to track progress and design lessons and interventions. Often Catholic schools are asked how our students progress compares or would be rated on CSAP tests, the Colorado state tests. MAP tests are similar tests and growth and proficiency indices are keyed to state standards.

In the chart below for math 85.4% of the tested students are considered to be proficient or above proficiency in math and 62.9% met or exceeded the growth target set when the test was taken in the spring.

In the chart below for reading 90.9% of the tested students are considered to be proficient or above proficiency in reading and 87.5% met or exceeded the growth target set when the test was taken in the spring.
