Dear Parents,
Congratulations to all of our fabulous talented students who gave of their time and talent: Bruce Barnstable, Rory Buck, Lauren Carroll, August Erickson, Sarah Gamel, Gabby Lorance, Johanna Mennona, Desi Mullins, Megan Witt and Casey Yun.

Thank you to all the members of MPB who helped in any way this week with Ms. Costello's family, work in the classroom, Spirit Day, talent show, or Heritage Club. We appreciate all that you do for our community. Thanks for the lunch on our Spirit Day. We thought you would like to know that your children raised $1,017 for Mrs. Snow for the Avon Breast Cancer Walk. She thanks all of you for your support.

Next week we will celebrate our Mad Minute with having an ice cream sundae party the last part of the day on Tuesday. A form was sent home and we asked for them to be returned so we know what you will bring and what we still need to pick up to make this a wonderful celebration. Again please know that we need helpers to prepare the sundaes so if you are able to help please be here in the cafeteria about 2:15 with ice cream scoops in hands ready to serve.

Study for the 50 state map test. Remember you can use your maps to study at anytime you have free in the classroom. Key helpers would be to start with the states you know that start from around an area you know well. Then fill in the states in regions if this will help. We wish all good luck. Next year there will be states and capitals to know. There are websites that you can use to practice as well.

Pioneer projects are due next Friday, May 23rd. Use the internet to help you find more information. There are many books in the public library as well. Do not spend money on a costume, use what you have and it will be fabulous.

We are moving quickly through illustrations for our books. There were some problems this week with the printers, so there may be some pages completed at home for illustrations. In advance we apologize for this extra work.

Calling for any and all photos for the MPB 2008-2009 calendar. Should you have any pictures that you would be willing to share please forward them to Mr. Bieber at RHBIEBER@GMAIL.COM. We need many to fill the months. These would then be available at the Ice Cream Social at the beginning of the school year next year.

Division is moving so very quickly this year. Students are picking up on the facts and are able to fill in the number sentences and are very proud of their work. Thanks for all of the help parents drilling and go over math facts to and from school. It has paid off with the easy transition to division

Happy Weekend,

Ms. Bley
