Family to Family Annual “Mother’s Day 4 Others”

The MPB Family to Family Diaper Drive was once again a huge success. Because of your generosity we were able to contribute $1660.00 to the Catholic Charities Bottom Line Diaper Bank.  Thank you for being the hands and feet of Christ.

Christmas Giving | Another Year of Living the Gospel

175 Families and 127 Seniors  asked us for our support.

Thank You for Opening Up Your Hearts!

Once again, you, the MPB Community, have opened up your hearts to our neighbors in need. All those requesting help this Christmas

have been sponsored and all the Christmas cards and gift cards have been received. You are AMAZING in your willingness to share your gifts and blessings!

You have brightened the lives of 127 seniors. 175 families, including 415 children, will be cheered by your generosity this Christmas. Additional donations have made it possible to also support families through St Vincent de Paul Society at MPB, Sacred Heart House and Bridge of Hope.

Thank you also to the Family to Family team for all your time and energy in making this ministry work! Many hands and hearts came together to make this another very successful outreach this year!

Once again you all have demonstrated MPB’s dedication to being the hands and feet of Christ by serving the marginalized. Let serving others serve as our belief.

Encountering Others with Compassion and Dignity

Family to Family has been lifting up school and senior communities for over 25 years. Its success is dependent upon the MPB community through their generosity of time, talents and financial support. This ministry actively connects with those in need in a variety of events and activities throughout the year. Join in community to encounter others with compassion and dignity.

Some of the major events sponsored by Family to Family include:

Back to School Supply Drive

We support students at the following schools: Annunciation, Guardian Angels, St Therese and St Rose of Lima along with students supported by Sacred Heart House and Birthline. Volunteers are needed to collect, sort and distribute supplies. Our school supply drive takes place in August.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Our seniors at North Lincoln and Tapiz and other area seniors in need receive bags of food through generous MPB community members. Volunteers help collect and distribute the food bags.  This takes place the 2nd week in November.

Christmas Encounter and Gift Giving

This event primarily serves our school families and our senior communities. In recent years this outreach has supported additional marginalized communities. This ministry offers our community the opportunity to reach out and connect person to person with those we support.  In 2020 our MPB community brightened the season for over 1000 individuals. This large undertaking requires lots of helping hands from data entry, to phone calls to helping at community holiday gatherings. We also need site coordinators to connect with the various communities. We start this work in October and finish the 2nd week in December. Contact Ann Zimmer is you’re interested in being a part of the Family to Family Team!

Mother’s Day Diaper Drive

Diapers and monetary donations to Catholic Charities help support moms at various agencies that support moms including Birthline and Sacred Heart House. Our drive takes place in early May.

Throughout the year there are many opportunities to volunteer at a level that best meets your schedule. School and senior site liaison positions are open and coordinators are needed. Connect with the Parish at contact@mpbdenver.org to see how your time and talents can best serve the needs of this ministry.
