Sacristans

Sacristans assist the Liturgist and Priests in helping to prepare weekend liturgies, weekday liturgies, and other special liturgies throughout the Church year. The Sacristan makes sure that everything needed for the celebration is in its place before the Liturgy begins and that all participating ministers are present. The Sacristan also selects the people to bring the gifts forward during Mass and assists with the collection if no usher is present. Sacristans should understand the flow and procedures of the Liturgy, possess an attention to detail, and be a person who in punctual and reliable. This is a perfect ministry for any high school age young adult or a daily mass-goer. If you were a former Altar Server, this is also a perfect ministry for you!
