Abiding in Friendship is a ladies-only gathering to grow in Christ and in friendship with one another. We hope to meet every third Saturday for a potluck brunch and fellowship, held in the OCIA room or downstairs. All women and girls are welcome. Come hungry and come ready for good company!
The Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), paragraph 1666, says, “The Christian home is the place where children receive the first proclamation of the faith. For this reason, the family home is rightly called ‘the domestic church,’ a community of grace and prayer, a school of human virtues and of Christian charity.”
The Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is an approach to religious education for children rooted in the Montessori method of education. It was developed by Sofia Cavalletti, a Roman Catholic educator, and Gianna Gobbi, a Montessori teacher. This catechesis seeks to nurture the spiritual life of children by providing a prepared environment that encourages contemplation and deep connection with the Christian faith.
